Policy makers are increasingly demanding evidence from randomized trials. The book focuses on the design of rigorous trials rather than their statistical underpinnings or analyses. Consequently, statistical theory is absent and statistical methods are minimal. Few other texts go into such detailed description about randomization procedures and different trial designs within the same volume.
